Introducing this spacious and much improved detached property situated in the sought after village of Loxwood.
Loxwood is a popular village lying close to the Surrey/Sussex border. There are a number of amenities within walking distance of the property, including a village convenience store, a local butcher, a delicatessen, Post Office, a sought after primary school and two very well regarded pubs, one of which runs adjacent to the bank of the Wey and Arun canal which offers fantastic countryside walks or water sports activities. Roughly 5 miles to the north is the larger village of Cranleigh with a more comprehensive range of shops and stores including a Sainsburys' and Marks & Spencer Food Hall. Easily accessible from here is Billingshurst, approximately 6 miles to the south, where commuters will find a mainline station with services into both London Victoria and London Bridge. Roads to the larger towns of Horsham and Guildford are close by.
The accommodation is both spacious and versatile starting with the welcoming entrance with feature fireplace, to the rear of the property is the lounge, a bright and airy room with cosy wood burner and french doors leading to the large rear patio and sunny garden area. The kitchen is impressive and has recently been renovated to create a bright, open plan living area. From the kitchen, there is access to the conservatory utility room and shower room. Completing the accommodation is a family bathroom and four double bedrooms, one of which has french doors and can easily be converted into a separate dining or living room.
To the rear of the property is a large garden summerhouse which is currently being used as a home office and games room.
Outside there is parking to the front for several vehicles and a detached garage to the side. Well established and tended to gardens surround the property.
This is a lovely property and internal viewings are highly recommended.
"The house has been in our family for 12 years and we have spent a considerable amount of time and effort in renovating and opening up the interior to create a lovely, open plan, family home. We have thoroughly enjoyed having a large, sunny, south facing, landscaped, private garden for relaxing and dining alfresco. The gate at the end of our garden that leads onto the fields and playground beyond has proven invaluable with our young family. With our children having grown up in the area, we wanted to stay in the neighbourhood as it has so much to offer - beautiful countryside, a great village community, fantastic award winning butcher, village shop and post office, hairdresser, playgrounds, woods and a fantastic village primary school, all within walking distance of our home! The house is situated within easy access to Horsham, Guildford and Gatwick. With our children a bit older now, we would like to move closer to their secondary school and leisure activities but we will certainly be sad to leave our wonderful home!"
